Colin is a Senior Planning Engineer with extensive experience in power, renewables, heavy civils and major building services projects.
Colin’s Mission: To continue providing detailed programmes and reports to suit both the client’s and the project’s requirements whilst ensuring that the programme is understood by the entire team and not only fellow planners.
Further to studying civil engineering at university, Colin started his professional journey as a civil design engineer. As this role became more site based, Colin quickly became responsible for managing the programme on a large renewables project for SSE. From here, Colin continued to develop his planning skills on high value projects for Petroineos, Iberdrola, Siemens and AWE. During these roles, Colin has developed extensive knowledge of programme delay analysis and report writing on a variety of contracts including NEC3, NEC4, FDIC and JCT.
Throughout his career, Colin has been able to utilise his civil engineering background to develop dependable and realistic programmes. His understanding of construction methodologies and design processes has assisted in the forensic analysis of problems to support and/or refute extension of time submissions.
Colin is driven by providing a service tailored to the client’s needs, summarising the complexities of programme delay analysis into a coherent and certain conclusion.
Colin previously enjoyed playing lots of football and golf before 3 young kids took up every minute of his spare time. He has recently purchased a campervan to enjoy with the family and occasionally, when he is allowed, with friends.
