Ian has over 35 years of experience delivering complex construction programmes across major sectors, including custodial, defence, and education.

Ian aims to continue to add to his planning expertise across a diverse range of technically challenging projects and to gain further experience in the field of delay analysis and dispute resolution.

As a construction management student, Ian’s journey started as a labourer during his industry placement for specialist trades across multiple Glasgow refurbishment sites in 1989, and since then Ian’s planning experience has gone from strength to strength working for main contractors in the Public, Leisure, Commercial and Industrial groupings for many town and city centre landmark buildings across Scotland and the North East of England.

Ian is a former volunteer swimming coach, charity runner and hillwalker who now enjoys more time with the family and the gentler pursuit of fishing, especially in a boat with friends along the west coast of Scotland or wading along the banks of the mighty river Tay.
