Neil joined TWO PLUS TWO in July 2024.

Neil’s mission: To drive a culture of collaborative planning within project teams by helping all parties to understand their roles and responsibilities, promoting ownership of the programme whilst enhancing his skills further in the field of delay analysis and dispute resolution.

Neil started his planning career in 2008 and has worked for two major civil engineering contractors, spending the next 16 years working on sites across highways, remediation, flood defence, power and more recently oil and gas pipelines all over the UK. Neil has worked his way up to from being the sole planner on a single scheme to leading a framework planning team. He has joined TWO PLUS TWO to further his career beyond construction planning with the desire to flourish in the field of delay analysis and dispute resolution for a growing and ambitious consultancy.

Neil always develops close ties with both the construction and commercial teams he works with, ensuring the planning element is optimised in each project he is involved in.

Neil spent a considerable amount of time on a major remediation scheme in Derbyshire, much of his time being spent producing delay schedules for many of the  400+ change events that occurred. He used the experience gained to ensure that time management was core to the strategy for success, recognising the importance of record keeping and collaborative planning.

Neil’s experience in planning and project management has seen him lead the planning function on major highway frameworks, providing him the opportunity to liaise closely with the key stakeholders to develop and implement better planning practices across the sector.

In his spare time, Neil is dedicated to his family whilst also being a keen cricketer, golfer and cyclist. Owning 3 dogs keeps him busy and when not out walking them on Hadrian’s Wall he also enjoys undertaking his own construction projects at home.
